England World Cup Bid 2018 - The Stadiums

England is currently bidding to host the 2018 Football World Cup Finals. With Europe thought to be favoured for the 2018 World Cup, David Beckham has recently handed over England's 2018 bid book to FIFA President Sepp Blatter at a conference in Zurich.

One of the most important factors in the World Cup bid is the selection of the Stadiums where the World Cup games are to be played.

FIFA have very strict rules and regulations for the stadiums selected in World Cup bids. There need to be at least ten stadiums all with a crowd capacity of 40,000 or above, two Stadiums must have a capacity of at least 60,000, and these would be used for the opening match, the semi-finals and the final of the World Cup. Another regulation is that only two of the stadiums can be in the same city.

As well as the stadiums, the host cities must also demonstrate that they can provide excellent training facilities, team base camps, facilities for the many fans and media, accommodation and transport services, and also have robust plans for safety, security and sustainability.

European Championship 2012 Betting: England's New Hopes

England manager Fabio Capello was pleased with the new faces of the National Team. Young, who joined the Red Devils from Aston Villa in the last transfer window for a reported amount of £16 million, has had a great start of the season. One of the reasons for this terrific start is that Young has been to the preseason tour of USA with the rest of the Manchester United team: this has allowed Young to bode in well with his teammates. He has also netted twice and offered four assists in the opening four Premier League matches.

He also scored for England against Wales and his goal proved enough for the Three Lions to edge past a young Wales side. Capello, who didn't select Young for the last World Cup in South Africa, thinks that the added pressure of playing for a big club like United has made Young mature.

The England boss has declared recently that now the pressure that Young has to face in each game is very big: this situation is comparable to what happen when playing for the National Team and it has given him a lot of confidence. Capello believes that this maturation is a normal process when playing for top teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United or Bayern Munich.
